Are you passionate about art, publishing, and bringing our beautiful books to a global audience? We are looking for a strategic and driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts on the east coast of the US. This is a remote position that requires frequent and intensive travel throughout the East Coast, extending south to Florida. This is a unique opportunity to shape the commercial growth of TASCHEN at the intersection of visual culture and creative excellence.
- Managing a variety of B2B accounts in the book trade and museum market. This includes presenting our program seasonally, processing & troubleshooting orders from PO receipt to fulfilment, working closely with our distribution partner to ensure compliance, and working with accounts to optimize merchandising and brand awareness at the staff level
- Identifying and capturing new business, and traveling to prospect in key markets within the East Coast territory
- Building a trusted relationship with key accounts and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships based on growth and success
- Forecasting and tracking lead title and key account metrics
- Attending trade shows, book fairs, and industry events to represent the company and network with potential partners
Your profile
- Several years of proven experience in book sales, preferably in illustrated publishing
- Strong existing relationships in the book trade and museum markets
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and make strategic decisions
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel
- Passion and curiosity for art, culture, and design

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $65,000 and $80,000, excluding commissions. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
