Presentation of ‘Dalí. BABY SUMO’
The launch in Barcelona
2025: On the evening of June 5 in Barcelona, TASCHEN and the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí hosted the official launch of Dalí. BABY SUMO at the Convent dels Àngels, in the heart of Dalí’s Catalonia.
The evening opened with remarks by Marlene Taschen and Jordi Mercader, President of the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, followed by a panel discussion on Dalí’s work and influence. Moderated by journalist Silvia Cóppulo, the conversation featured Montse Aguer (co-author of the book and Director of Dalinian Studies at the Fundació), gallerist Artur Ramon, and acclaimed Spanish artist Antonio López García.
More than 90 guests including Marko Daniel (Director, Fundació Miró), Emmanuel Guigon (Director, Museu Picasso), architect Oscar Tusquets and journalists from La Vanguardia, El País, and ABC came together to celebrate this monumental publication.
