On February 11, 2026 in London, TASCHEN celebrated Ultimate Collector Watches in collaboration with the legendary auction house Phillips.
The evening featured a panel discussion with authors and editors Charlotte and Peter Fiell, joined by auctioneer and Phillips’ Senior Watch Consultant Aurel Bacs, who wrote the book’s foreword and was visiting from Geneva for the occasion. The conversation was moderated by Esquire’s Johnny Davis and followed by a drinks reception.
The discussion explored the enduring appeal of mechanical watches, the cultural evolution of watch collecting, and the dynamics of today’s high-end collectors’ market - reflecting the remarkable scope of this two-volume publication.
