Utilísima para encontrar destinos menos habituales, y para tener una estructura básica antes de empezar la planificación de una escapada. Aconsejo, sin embargo, no ceñirse a lo propuesto en las guías: dele un toque personal a su escapada, teniendo siempre las sugerencias del NYT a mano para recurrir a ellas según necesidad. También aconsejo comprobar el estado de los locales y hoteles que son mencionados, pues los años pasan, los negocios cierran o cambian de mano.
