Sales Manager, Los Angeles


Your tasks

Are you passionate about art, publishing, and bringing our beautiful books to a global audience? We are looking for a strategic and driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts from our Los Angeles office. This is a unique opportunity to shape the commercial growth of TASCHEN at the intersection of visual culture and creative excellence.

  • Manage a variety of B2B accounts primarily in your area, presenting our program,  processing orders, and following up and liaising with our distributors to ensure timely fulfillment 
  • Identify and grow new sales channels, including museum and gallery stores, art fairs, and specialty retailers
  • Build a trusted relationship with key accounts and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships based on growth and success
  • Forecasting and tracking lead title and key account metrics 
  • Researching, identifying, and traveling to prospects in specific territories 
  • Attend trade shows, book fairs, and industry events to represent the company and network with potential partners


Your profile

  • Several years of proven experience in book sales, preferably in art, photography, or illustrated publishing
  • Strong existing relationships in the book trade and art markets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and make strategic decisions
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Shopify and Business Central or similar platforms is a plus
  • Passion for art, culture, and design
