Bill Ward
American cartoonist Bill Ward (1919–1998) attended the Pratt Institute in New York City before making his mark as a risque and fetish artist. His first creation, made while serving in WWII, was the comic strip Torchy. He later produced cover illustrations for the Humorama magazine series and for many pulp novels. In late life he wrote and illustrated erotic stories for men’s magazines Leg Show and Juggs.
