The artist

Earl Newman has been creating serigraphic prints since the 1960s. Starting with his iconic images from the beatnik era, he has continued to create art from his studio in Summit, Oregon. His posters for the Monterey Jazz Festival, from 1963 to 2012, are in the collection of the Smithsonian.
