Full-Time Gallery Sales Associate Store Milan

We are looking for a committed Full-Time Gallery Sales Associate for our TASCHEN Store Milan location.  

Key responsibilities:

• Welcome customers to the store, assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on the TASCHEN program; process POS (point of sale) purchases  
• Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Further develop existing VIP clients and relationships, with a particular focus on driving our limited edition program
• Identify and engage new client development opportunities
• Actively participate in achieving personal and team sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Willingness to go the extra mile to drive personal and team sales   
• Assist in reception of deliveries, unpacking of new stock and merchandising
• Ensure that the product presentation and work area are clean and organized  
• Assist with stock management, database maintenance, and other daily tasks as needed
• Provide support during TASCHEN events and book signings  
  
  

Candidate’s profile:    

• At least 3 years previous sales experience, preferably in an arts or gallery environment     
• Proven track record of sales achievements
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions and inventory procedures a plus  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including over telephone and email
• Flexible and friendly attitude with a focus on customer service & teamwork
• Mature, detail-oriented; strong follow-up skills
• English and Italian fluency required, additional languages a plus
• Knowledge of local culture scene a plus
• Interest in art, photography, architecture, design, fashion, travel a plus
