Full-Time Brand and Retail Manager Store Milan

For our TASCHEN Store in Milan we are looking for a Full-Time Brand and Retail Manager (f/m/d) as store manager.

Your tasks:

  • Store management in all matters
  • Staff scheduling, planning/controlling of business processes and of statistics, reports and evaluations
  • Active sales of TASCHEN publications, including Collector's Editions and prints
  • Be the local representative for our VIP contacts
  • Creating positive buying experiences through service-oriented customer care
  • Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base and acquiring new customers
  • Management and promotion of employees
  • Training the store team in customer service, corporate standards and product merchandising
  • Organizing and holding book signings, book presentations and author talks
  • Monitoring the supply of goods and inventory management as well as carrying out stock orders, monthly stocktaking and the annual inventory
  • Responsibility for maintaining a well-kept, clean appearance of the store at all times


Your profile:

  • Experience in a similar position, preferably in upscale retail, ideally in the art and gallery field
  • Proven track record of sales achievements
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, a highly results-driven approach and a willingness to take responsibility
  • Independent working style as well as organizational and coordination skills
  • Strong communication skills in Italian and excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Pronounced social competence and a feel for customers and quality service
  • Confident, friendly and smart appearance
  • Flexibility, reliability and ability to work in a team
  • Enthusiasm and affinity for the subjects of our publishing program
  • Ideally, contacts in the Milan art and culture scene
  • MS-Office skills
