As usualy, my taschen book collection is bigger and bigger.
Still, i have some questions for you, my true, never meeted friends.
How come, you never published some good book about Henri CartierB resson???
Do you plan to print some.
Also, what about Elmer Batters???
I think people are waiting for these two books!
Thank you for everything, thank you for response, in advance :)

Taschen has printed two books on Elmer Batters, though both are now out of print. You can find them on Abebooks.com at more or less reasonable prices.

I have many Taschen books but the Ingmar Bergman archives is my favourite. So beautiful and encapsulates the spirit and beauty of Bergman's craft. I treasure it.

Dear Russell, I'm very happy to hear that you treasure The Ingmar Bergman Archives, as do I. Making the book was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Best, - paul

Dear Manuela Aurora, many thanks, we are happy that you appreciate our publications. We have published two different editions on Caravaggio - one in our "Basic Art Series" and a catalogue raisonné of his complete works. I hope you will enjoy them! Best wishes, Mahros

Dear Marc, thank you for your interest. If you like Gérôme, maybe you would appreciate our publication on Eugène Delacroix? You will find international art in our edition "100 Contemporary Artists" as well as in our volumes "Islamic Art" and "African Art". Best wishes, Mahros

So sad to hear about San Souci. She seemed so timelessly sweet and the perfect library muse, but I'm thankful she has been a joy for close to 15 years.

Bien cordialement, Mahros

There's nothing sexy in the horizon, we might as well be dead.

What's up your sleeve, dear Ms. Hanson? (please, tell me it has a dick).

Dear Pony- I wondered what that was poking my arm! I have many things up my sleeve(s), and some will have penises attached.

Hello taschen,

Dear Edoardo, many thanks for your interest and query – you will find more museums in the ongoing main volumes of the "Architecture Now!"-series (#8 will be released in January). And you may also be interested in the next 'themed' volume, which will be "Landscape Architecture Now!", due in March. Best wishes, Florian

I have immensely enjoyed "New York, Portrait of a City" - truly a stunning collection of photographs!
However, living in NYC and knowing the City well, I also noticed a few editorial mistakes that I would like to bring to your attention:
Page 80: I don't believe this photo depicts subway construction. It is probably a trench for utility pipes only.
Page 149: The referenced building under construction is the Johns-Manville Building at 275 Madison Avenue (corner to 40th Street) - not the Empire State Building.
Page 176: Tis view is not from "across the Est River" but from downtown Manhattan as the spatial relationship between the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings makes clear.
Page 382/382: It's not quite correct to call them "highways" or "stadtautobahnen" as these are mainly access ramps to the Port Authority Bus Terminal and the Lincoln Tunnel.

Dear Wolfgang. Thanks so much for your feedback and delighted that you are enjoying the book. Regarding your observations on the captions: page 80, this was sourced from the New York Transit Museum and it is subway construction; page 149, you are correct and we will make an amendment in the next edition of the book; page 176, requires further investigation; page 382/3, is a matter of semantics, most New Yorkers would call this a highway. Best wishes Reuel
