I have sent a hard cover mock up to Taschen USA- but I don't believe the actual decision maker (Benedict Taschen) will ever have the opportunity to see it..... | Guten Tag, In der Samstagsausgabe der Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung las ich mit Begeisterung einen einseitigen Artikel über den verstorbenen Fotografen Dietmar Gottschall. Die Bilder die ich dort und auf der Website sehen konnte sind großartige Schätze. Sie zeigen eine Zeit, die ich noch erlebt habe, und können sich ohne weiters an einem Cartier-Bresson messen. Da es heute zu Tage nicht oft Aufnahmen gibt, die mich derart begeistern und in denen ich so viel sehe, wollte ich sie darauf aufmerksam machen und hoffe, dass sie sich einen Eindruck von den Arbeiten verschaffen. Vielleicht haben sie das schon getan, aber ich würde mir sehr wünschen dass diese Dokumentationen einer Welt wie sie wahrscheinlich die wenigsten noch kennen, nicht einfach untergehen. Auch wenn meine Beweggründe ihnen diese Email zu schreiben vielleicht reine Sentimentalitäten sind möchte ich sie doch innständig bitten zumindest einen Blick auf diese Zeitzeugen zu werfen und sich vielleicht von meiner Begeisterung anstecken zu lassen. www.dietmargottschall.com Anderenfalls ist wie bereits erwähnt in der Ausgabe der FAZ vom 17.2.08 ein einseitiger Artikel, der auf jeden fall lesenswert ist, zu finden. | Seit vielen Jahren suche ich nach einem Bildband über Maurice Utrillo. Ich denke, dass dieser interessante Maler zu Unrecht so in Vergessenheit geraten ist. Vielleicht könnten Sie ihn wenigstens innerhalb Ihrer günstigen schwarzen Reihe bringen? | Dear Paul Arthur, please note that unsolicited proposals are very rarely inserted into our editorial program which has already been planned for the next few years. In any case, before submitting your proposal, please check our website in order to make sure that it would generally fit into our program (f.i. no fiction). Should you then still wish to submit your book idea, please send a short outline and a small selection of your images (1-5) via e-mail to info@taschen.com. It will be forwarded to the person in charge. Please note that we do not accept more than 1-2 emails nor files bigger than 300 KB each. | Hallo Ihr Lieben, ich habe neulich einen Bildband gesehen, der mich verzaubert hat: "Indien - die Frauen der Wüste Thar". Nur Fotos, kein Text. Wunderbare Fotos, berauschend! Leider ist das Buch komplett vergriffen und auch antquarisch kaum zu finden. Da dachte ich, das wäre doch ein Titel, den der Taschen-Verlag neu auflegen sollte! Das Buch passt zu Euch! Die ISBN-Nr. ist 3-7658-1292-7 und das Buch ist ursprünglich im C.J.Bucher-Verlag in München erschienen. Liebe Grüße Kris Empting |
