GENESIS book launch at TASCHEN Store ParisOn May 16th, our TASCHEN Store in Paris had the honour of hosting Lélia Wanick Salgado and Sebastião Salgado who had travelled directly from Italy to meet us for the launch of GENESIS. A long queue formed in the street an hour before the arrival of the evening’s stars. All the fans waited patiently sipping champagne to get their books signed. Amongst the hundreds of guests and personal friends of the Salgados, many personalities came to join the party such as the Brazilian Ambassador Mr José Mauricio Bustani and his wife. We also welcomed French actress Alize Le-Moult, photographers like Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Sacha, Roberto Battistini and Jean-Claude Gautrand, Diane Pernet, Founder and Director of ASVOFF (A Shaded View on Fashion Film), Michel Larguier from the HSBC bank that has an important prize for photography, Japanese painter Aki Kuroda and numerous members of the press from TV Channel France 3, Geo, Arte, Elle, La Dépêche du Midi and various Blogs and websites. It was a lovely, intense evening and both Sebastião and Lélia were really happy with the event. |
