| A year after beginning a collection of TASCHEN art books, I'm not sure if there is surprise, dismay or disillusionment that there is not one book in your catalog about the famed Harlem Renaissance period and its world renown artists (i.e. Aaron Douglas, Augusta Savage, Lois Mailou Jones, and many others up to Romare Bearden). Considering why TASCHEN was founded, and what it purports to stand for today, is this just a mere oversight, ignorance, or what? | |

| Hi Dian! Besides congratulating on your work ("Sexy books" remains the most exciting division of Taschen) I wanted to ask 3 questions: 1. Have you ever considered doing a book on x-rated movie posters? Like the one Snoek made, which is great but could have been more extensive (including material from the 80s, 90s and pre-1960s) and informative. 2. How about something on the history of gay pornography? Like "The Christy Report" or "History of Men's Magazines", only glbt focused? Hey, even if it's a movie poster book (again, like Snoek's) it would be really appreciated. 3. What's next after the "Big Pussy Book"? Because, you know, it'd be the fourth in the series for boys, and there's only been one for the girls. May I sugeest something like "Muscles" or "Male Butt" (and if you do it, please don't leave out holes)? So that's it. Thank you! |
