TASCHEN is a reference point when it comes to publishing fashion, photography, architecture, painting, design and erotica. The shop designed by Philippe Starck sets off the books to their best in an environment that uses bronze, precious dark woods, coloured glass, plasma screens, columns made from tree trunks and a soundtrack to create an illusion of a physical illustration of the contents of the books themselves. Emblematic of the place is the huge monograph of Helmut Newton's work that rest, as if in homage to the late photographer, on a pedestal for you to leaf through."
