TASCHEN America is seeking two Design Interns for its office in Los Angeles, beginning February 2016.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in design, typography, and production for print and the publishing industry.

The internship requires a commitment to full-time 40 hours/week for a period of 6 months, and pays a modest monthly stipend. All applicants must be based in or near Los Angeles, as we cannot support relocation. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Subject areas covered by the editors of TASCHEN America are pop culture, photography, and sex, so a particular interest in these topics is preferred. We encourage you to view our current program at

Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator on Mac OS X are required, as is firm understanding of design and production with InDesign (creating layouts using master pages, basic typesetting using style sheets, working comfortably with images and type).

The work is detail-oriented, so organization and great follow-through skills are also a must. Responsibilities will focus on assisting the design/production/editorial departments on upcoming titles throughout our production process, especially placing images and texts in layouts, and helping to present design and packaging concepts.

The position also includes ongoing maintenance of our archives, scanning and cataloging original art, and additional tasks as needed to keep the office running smoothly (including filing, photocopying, shredding, errands, deliveries, or making an espresso for an important visitor).

Organized and enthusiastic candidates should send cover letter, resume and attached PDF portfolio (under 10 MB) to Josh Baker,, with the words "Design Internship" as the subject line. No calls, please
