Lieber Taschen-Verlag,

Freue mich darauf^^

To whom this may concern,

Please accept my compliments on the professionalism with which your company is run and the excellence of your product - truly a great example in the modern world of publishing. I would also like to request if it would be possible for your next release in your "movie icons" series to be of Catherine Deneuve. She is a definitive icon of French culture and cinema - and I feel deserves a title in your movie icons series.

Dear Renée, Many thanks for your kind comments. They are much appreciated by everybody at TASCHEN. Yes, it would be lovely to make a 'Movie Icon' on Catherine Deneuve, but unfortunately the series has been put on hold for the time being so that I can concentrate on some large and fascinating books that require a lot of research. Watch this space, as they say. best - paul

Lieber Taschen-Verlag,

I have thoroughly enjoyed every Taschen book I have purchased for the Vilnius Jewish Library. From the softcovers for Woody Allen and Bob Dylan to the hardcovers for Frida Kahlo, Mark Rothko and Hundertwasser, all of them are great. I even was able to buy the huge, beautiful book on architect Richard Meier. As if that wasn't enougn, I purchased the limited edition Julius Shulman 3 volume set. However, I don't have the resources to buy Stanley Kubrick's Napoleon: The Greatest Movie Never Made. If anyone cares to support the revival of Jewish culture in the Jerusalem of Lithuania, the new Stanley Kubrick book would make an amazing addition to the collection!

I just picked up your "Abstract Art" book, and for only $9.99, it's a helluva nice book. You did a really good job at explaining a hotly-contested School of painting. Bordering on controversial. Now, when I look at a so-called "realistic" painting, I can't help but wonder if it's maybe a little more abstract than we might have thought? I love it.

(That should read "I might have thought", not "we".--ed.)

Great selection of books. A book about armature artist who are good but never make the ‘mainstream’ would be good.

I know and like the magazine Bizarre Life, but don't think there were quite enough issues and variety to make a book.
