| I bought taschen's calendar of Matisse 2010. But writing in Japanese isn't right. There is no Sunday on that calendar. Please make us Sunday next year! |

| Dear Taschen, I honestly hope you don't think I'm abusing your guestbook. I mean well. But here's another suggestion, and then I'll stop for a long while. Portrait of an Author series. Where you collect photographs of writers at various points of his/her life, and , when possible, reproductions of some of their writings throughout. The first author? James Joyce. The bookstore? Joseph Fox Bookshop, in you know where. |

| I could buy only 1 Taschen book a month (if that), limited only to their less-expensive line, which I do love and treasure, by the way. I have a whole boopkcase full of Taschen books. In other words, I'm a big fan. So the proposal is this: Art Welfare. some kind of eternal global fund, to be given TO solely those born on actual specific Planet Earth ITSELF, FUNDED SOLELY BY PHILANTHROPISTS RICH AND POOR, THAT EVERY ONE PROTECTED UNDER THIS DEFINITION SHALL HAVE ANY KIND OF ACESS TO aRT, IN EVERY BIT OF ITS PERMUTATIONS. aNYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT, AND THE FUND WILL ALSO FINANCIALLY THANK IT'S SELLERS, BIG AND SMALL, IN A MANNER THAT EVERY ONE, EVERY ONE, WILL SAY, "eH, IT'S-A-TOO-MUCH-A!" BUT SAY i WAKE UP AND THINK GEE i WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A COPY OF lEANARDO DA VINCI THE COMPLETE PAINTING, JUST TO NAME AN EXAMPLE OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD. AND i WOULD GO TO THE NEAREST DEALER AND WALK OUT WITH IT OR ORDER IT AND GET IT AT SOME REASONABLE POINT. wOULDN'T THAT BE SOMETHING? wISTFULL. iF YOU WANT TO CONTACT ME PERSONALLY, hMM, i GOT IT. aSK THE BOOKSTORE I GO TO tHAT'S THE SAFEST WAY FOR ME TO DO IT. tA-TA! |

| , United States, January 25, 2010 | |
| Dear Taschen, Happy New Year! It's 20, 10, right? Yeah, 2010. But I I digress. I have a suggestion for a Taschen project proposal, that maybe a PUBLIHING house would like to participate in. The inspiration came to meoh, about one minute ago by now, in my parent's basement in a working class suburb on the East Coast,, and it's not new york, or new jersey, and it's not Harrisburgh, either, leafing through your "The Big Book of Breasts", and i was just lamenting to my humble more or less self, that 'twas a pity I could only buy(I'll stop so not to make this post too long--will sign back on in 5 seconds |

| Oh, never mind. Just a brief piquish moment of frustrating obstacles in my little Taschen collecting habit. Still luxuriating in Movies of the 20s. Can't wait to get Abstract Expressionism next. | |

| Why no Taschen bookstore in Amsterdam or Utrecht, the Netherlands. Your nice series of books will be loved in the Netherlands as well. | |

| Thank you for the wonderful Kubrick Napoleon book. Out of interest does the lower spine label peel off easily and is the spine embossed beneath it? I saw a different version of the spine on the internet with three segments - was that version published or just a proof? Mine has four segments. All of that aside it is my favourite film book ever. Thank you. |

| Dear Richard, many thanks for your kind note! I can confirm that all limited edition copies "Napoleon" have the four segment spine. As usual with such complex books, we have to produce several dummies during the production process, some of which being used as early proofs or samples for sales purposes (which is what you must have found online). To produce the clip with Christiane Kubrick and Jan Harlan that you can see on our website, we used a dummy with yet a different spine, as your observant eye may have noted: http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/community/video/29678.stanley_kubricks_napoleon.htm. Best wishes, Florian | |

| Thanks Florian. I am interested to know if the colour sticker on the spine is removable and if the spine is embossed beneath it. Many thanks. | |

| Dear Richard, the fourth segment underneath the colour sticker is embossed the same way the other three segments are, but of course the sticker is part of the design. Best wishes, Florian | |
