I adore Taschens beutiful books, they are resonably priced and well published. I have immensly enjoyed your 25 anniverary books and I have the Sybolism & Art Nouveau titles in my library amongst others.

I was wondering if you are planning to publish a volume on Art Deco in the forseeable future? I am obsessed with Art Nouveau/Deco and I for one (and there are many other I guess) would LOVE to see a title on Art Deco Published by Taschen. It would be a great companion title to your wonderful book on Art Nouveau and a welcome addition to your catalouge.

Thank You!!!

I've been buying Taschen books for many years. They really are always the perfect gift that offers new insights for people and enriches some otherwise mono-cultural lives that some of them live. I can't always afford to buy someone airfare to go see a great photo exhibit, so a Taschen book is a wonderful alternative.
My dream is to someday have a community-use library that has the entire book catalog selections from Taschen, Phaedon, Insight Guides & Lonely Planet.
Does Taschen offer some kind of discount for non-profit libraries that wish to buy one of each of their books?
Ciao, Hunter/Cacciatore

It would be interesting to include a Tarsila do Amaral book in your basic art series.
Thanks a lot

Dear Sirs
I admire Your publishing efforts. The recent book I bye is about Napoleons investigations in Egypt – Description de L` Egypte. I like history, and for me the book is marvelous. If I may, I would like to make one suggestion. Try to find place in Your publishing plans for the books about investigations of Maya civilization. Such as the books from Stephens and Catherwood. I so some illustrations. Fascination is the only word.
Than You for Your time.
Best regards.

Thank you SO MUCH for your MOVIE ICONS series! They are absolutely gorgeous! - nicely printed and constructed, and I'm very happy to receive the update on new titles in the series (as a degreed Film Studies student - I find them invaluable) I own a number of the older volumes - and will be purchasing the new titles.

But, I do have a suggestion for the editorial board - would you PLEASE seriously consider publishing one about/on the GREAT actor, Jack Lemmon. I've found that believe it or not he is unappreciated in some circles, especially when it comes to his earlier films - for example "Fire Down Below" (1957) I believe after studying his career (and life) he was an actor full of depth and surprises - and most certainly a MOVIE ICON (and I would most definitely purchase more than one copy of this book!)

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Karen E. Hallman

Dear Karen, Thank you for your lovely comments. We have a lot more titles appearing in the MOVIE ICONS series every six months, and we hope you enjoy them. You're right, Jack Lemmon is a great actor - 'Days of Wine and Roses', 'Missing' and I loved him in 'Glengarry Glen Ross' - so thanks for the suggestion. best - paul
