Hi. Have a couple of questions. Are you still planning to release a monograph on "Mad Men"? And have you settled on the next title in your film monograph series yet?

Thank you!!

Dear Nicole,

yes, absolutely, stay tuned about Mad Men – and one of our next movie related books will be a fabulous collection about Film Noir, plus a few spectacular monographs that are still in the early phases!

Cheers,
Florian

Thanks for your quick reply! Any chance that you can reveal which films will be the subject of the monographs? :)

Thanks, Nicole,
we're working e.g. on another splendid monograph of one of Stanley Kubrick's masterworks. But stay tuned, there will be more in our film section, soon!
Best wishes,
Florian

Oh you can't go wrong with anything having to do with Stanley Kubrick! Great choice!! Of all of his films, THE SHINING is my favorite, so I hope that one is the subject of the monograph. :) In the future, I would love to see a book on CHINATOWN also. As you can see, I like Jack Nicholson. :)

Jack Nicholson, noted – we'll do our best!
Cheers, Florian

Dear People at Taschen,

Thank you for producing these amazing books. I would suggest to create a book on one of the greatest living directors - Ridley Scott. Also, a single book on one of his best works, Blade Runner, would also be great idea, similar to the Taxi Driver book! The book would be a bestseller :) ! Thanks!

Taschen is the world leader in art publishing. Congratulations! Please consider publishing a book of portraits by Giovanni Battista Moroni. Last year the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City presented a show of paintings of Bellini, Titian, Lotto and others, including two by Moroni, from the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo. A review of the show in the NY Review of Books (16 Aug 2012) by Sanford Schwartz said that the Moroni portraits are "phenomenal" and "make the show momentous. Once they are encountered, all the other pictures somehow go on hold." I agree completely. Moroni deserves a book up to Taschen's standards. Thank you.

Dear Edward Betozzi,

Thank you very much for your kind message. Moroni's portraits are wonderful and he is one of the great Italian painters, I agree with you. We'll consider if we can do a book on him. Best wishes, Petra

Google: ''Albert Marquet'' pictures en discover hundreds of marvellous paintings. Nobody painted Paris so wonderfull. A real 'painters painter', friend of Matisse and of his quality. Please a Taschenbook on him.
Not convinced?
Look to the stunning:

Dear Dian Hanson:
Just bought "The Big Butt Book" and I love the historical sense you've brought to it.
Since the 21st Century is based on the ass-worship (as the 20th Century was the breast worship), would it be possible to imagine, in some near future, the Bigger Butt Book specialized only in butts in Coco/Watermelon/Buffy's style? These are the new classics in this era!
And thank you for making the greatest art books in the world!

Ah, you hit upon the dilemma I encountered immediately upon researching for this book. It seems that almost precisely half of the men who consider themselves butt lovers like a small, tight, high butt and half like a large, fleshy full butt. Each half thinks the taste of the other half is wrong and unappealing. I resolved to make a book with elements for both camps--and found half the men saying the butts were too big, and half saying they were too small. So rather than arouse even more unhappiness from one camp, we are leaving this butt theme behind.

Dear Dian Hanson:
Thank you so much for your comment, I'm very honored! Your decission seems pretty full of justice! Now we, the bigger butt lovers, must convince the little butt lovers that we're right, and then you'll maybe think again about it. Give us one year and we'll win this BBW (Bigger Butt War)!

Hi,
I've recently bought "Il simbolismo" by M. Gibson through Amazon. I am very satisfied with the book's quality considering also the very affordable price.
Thank you
