I'm devastated to discover that Taschen has no plans to print a Frans Lanting diary for 2009! I've had so much pleasure (& function) from these diaries since 2003 and get a regular stream of "oooh's & aaaah's" from colleagues & friends whenever I open my diary up at meetings.

I met Frans when he was working in Zambia in late 2006 and have felt a special connection since. The diary provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase our world's natural wonders at a time when we need inspiration to save our planet.

When each diary year is finished, I laminate the pictures and send them off to a wildlife conservation & education project in Zimbabwe.

Please reconsider - and soon! I need to buy a 2009 diary very shortly!

I'm afraid we don't have a Lanting diary for 2009, but we do have a Wall Calendar featuring his wonderful penguin photographs.

Great to see quality art books at affordable prices. Still waiting for a book related to famous surrealist painter Roberto Matta. Thanks.

I have got your book 'Inside Asia in two volumes'2004 edition. The mention of Paskistan is not in any of the volumes, May i know the reason as to why this country has been excluded in your book. i would also like to have a free copy of your magazine for information about your other publications.
Thank you in anticipation,
yours faithfully,
Nazir Ahmed

Hi Nazir, thank you for your comments. I'm afraid your question relating to Pakistan is outside of my area however I would be happy to send you a copy of our latest free magazine. Can you email your request to contact-uk@taschen.com, and I will ensure it is dispatched.

You publish some very beautiful books. I have purchased several titles through the years, from Turner to Eric Stanton; my latest purchase was Digital Beauties, in the Icons series, which interests me both aesthetically, and because the work presented is the sort of CG art I wish I had learned to do. Unfortunately, while I learned graphics packages as part of my multi-media training, I didn't have the chance to get into it that deeply; maybe one day! Your books often show the colours of my particular darkness, and I thank you. Keep it up!

Thanks to the recent boom years in the travel industry, many airport lounges around the world are now better equipped to provide improved nonbusiness services as well, offering such perks as spas, gyms, showers and, in some cases, even babysitting. Why don't you create a book about the best airport lounges in the world? I'm a gold frequent flyer, and if you need some help with the book, just let me know!

Why oh why oh why have the James Bond diaries been discontinued?! I would have thought with the new films out that they would still be published given that the calendars are still being published.
Yours disappointedly but hoping for good news,
A

Thanks for your comment, however Taschen have never published a book or diary, or anything else on James Bond. Maybe you are thinking of another publisher?

I would love to see Taschen issue a less expensive volume of Walton Ford's paintings for those of us who can't afford the limited edition Pancha Tantra. There is currently no generally available selection of his works, and the OOP catalogue from his Brooklyn Museum exhibition of 06/07 is already commanding silly prices on the second hand market. I am sure his work has broad enough appeal to sustain a mass market publication and who better than Taschen to do this? (After the Pancha Tantra edition has sold out, of course...).

Dear Simon, please stay tuned, we're certainly planning to make Walton's work even more accessible in the near future. Very best, Florian
