Hi,

I've purchased 1000 Extra/ordinary Objects recently. As a french speacking person, I have to say that the translated side of this book is shamely unaceptable. I had to read the text in English to understand what it said. That was done obviously with a very (bad) basic translation sofware.
Too bad. I usualy love your books

Dear C., Thanks a lot for the information! We haven’t had any complaints about this title by now, but please be assured that we will follow up your note. If there is a reprint of this book, we will closely check the translation and have it revised. Hope that you’re still enjoying our books though :-) All the best, Jascha

I love the Tashen-books and have some questions. Will you publish "Science-Fiction" by Forrest J. Ackerman again? And are there any plans to publish more titles like "Robots, spaceships & other tin toys"?

Dear Michael, we currently haven't planned to reprint the title "Science Fiction", but the topic is of course of ongoing interest for us. Hence, we are working on a title called "Cartopia", and also on one featuring Science Fiction Posters. Best wishes, Florian

Dear Lance, we are working on several monographs, the next one will feature Zaha Hadid's complete works for example. We also seek to include as many up and coming architects as possible in our 'Architecture Now!' series. Best wishes, Florian

"Jazz Covers"-
Yes, I have a new copy of this book. What interested me the most about getting this publication, is because of the visual impact it displays and information about all of the great jazz musicians around the world. Plus the fact that I grew up in listening to allot of the music created by these jazz greats from both my grand parents' & parents' record collection. Reviewing page after page of this publication brings back the memory of my family & I enjoying such great music and the jazz artists that created them. I have added this book to my collection!
Appreciative- Jon Hul

I absolutely adore taschen boks. A whole part of my bookshelf is dedicated to my ever growing taschen collection. I saw that the big book of legs is coming out. Are there any plans for the big book of butts?

Oh, Lili, I would never forget the butt! It just takes a little longer to put together because, if you can believe, butts are far less common in vintage photography. You can expect to see The Big Butt Book, featuring butts big and small, in April 2010.

Thank you Taschen for Taschen. Mr. Taschen? You're the my only hero I'd actually go through the trouble of meeting, which is not to denigrate or deprecate any of my other heroes, most of whom are still alive. Anyway, I have a suggestion for a title, and a request/question: "The New Erotic Cinema", and the request is: Your $200+ books, which I treasure--if you do eventually shrink it down and lower the price, could you have available that version AND the original $200 size? Some (re: most) of us Taschen Collectors want the Original price and size, it just takes a little time to raise that sort of cash--not that I'm complaining, you understand. Please keep up the good work, you're doing such a good and noble Crusade, and the medium all this is occurring in is: Books! I love it. Ciao.

Dear Joseph, On behalf of Mr. Taschen I would like to thank you for your flattering words and for sharing these good thoughts. Be sure that we will take them into consideration for future publications. It is always helpful to get such feedback and to learn about collector's opinion. Keep it up! After the reprints of Bizarre and Exotique, wouldn't it be great to have a reprint of John Sutcliffe's Atomage?

It would indeed, but Atomage didn't have quite enough issues for this kind of reprint. Hope you've seen the chapter devoted to this unique magazine in Volume 6 of my History of Men's Magazines.
