In 1979 Liu became Time magazine’s first photojournalist based in Beijing. He is the editor of 'CHINA: Portrait of a Country'. He will be discussing his career and the book that looks at the work of more than 80 Chinese photographers charting a visual history of 60 years of the People’s Republic (1949 – 2008).
