ExhibitionBalthus - 100th anniversaryJune 16, 2008 - November 23, 2008Fondation Pierre Gianadda, Rue du Forum 59, 1920 Martigny, +41 (0)27 722 39 78, Switzerland The next exhibition to be held at the Fondation Pierre Fianadda in Martigny will be the 100th Anniversary of Balthus, organised by Jean Clair and Dominique Radrizzani, which will concentrate on Balthus's masterpieces in Martigny. This event will mark several anniversaries - firstly the painter's centenary as such, then also the twnty-fifth anniversary of his rediscoverey at the great retrospectibe at the Georges Pompidou National Culture and Art Centre in 1938, as well as the thirties anniversary of the inauguration of the Fondation Pierre Gianadda on 19 November 1978. |
