“Simple Diary™ is my response to having too much information and not enough meaning, and needing to remember what made me smile.”
Simple Diary™ Volume One – The Cloverleaf Edition, comes in six colors.
— Philipp Keel, United States
“We round up our press review with a very special volume… Keel’s Simple Diary, from TASCHEN, a company that just seems to follow us around everywhere these days. Keel’s Simple Diary is our daily psycho-couch rendez-vous. A little bit of navel-gazing never did anybody any harm.”— Cerise sur le Gâteau Blog, Paris, France
“I pounced on the pink version of Keel’s Simple Diary, Volume Two, a slim journal that lets you fill in the dates as you like - once a day, once a month, whenever you get the urge - and features whimsical prompts such as ‘Your day was: idealistic, simplistic, paper or plastic’ (pick one, elaborate as desired). I’m told, via a welcome-note insert, that my selection of the pink version indicates that I could like ponies, be in denial or dislike luggage, and may be ‘a good fairy with the talent for interweaving pop culture, politics and international affairs.’ Bingo! All that for a mere $ 15!”— The Dallas Morning News, Dallas, United States
“It’s not your ordinary diary, as it offers you a set of options to fill in each day, sort of multiple choice and asks really thought provoking questions for you to answer.  Every day is different and from the questions you fill in and the way it guides you to record your thoughts I can imagine it would be quite revealing to read a year or so later. It would give a real insight into what was happening and how you were feeling at the time. They are really unique, and since I’ve been filling mine in, I’ve sort of felt a little bit of calm amongst the chaos each day.  You also don’t have to fill them in every day as you determine the date yourself at the top of each page.  The cost around £10 and they come in a range of bright colours. Apparently the colour you choose says something about you too!”— Cardiff Fashion Blog, Cardiff, United Kingdom
“TASCHEN has a simple philosophy: in a world where products are out as soon as they’re in, where communicating without wires doesn’t come without strings, and even accessories need accessories, we need simple tools. Following on the success of Volume I, the company has launched the Phillip Keel Simple Diary Volume II, The Simple Diary provides structure, as well as a taste of philosophy, a pinch of psychology and a twist of insight on every page.”— Stationary magazine, London, United Kingdom
“I know, it's a little strange, but I like where it takes my brain. It makes me consider the events of my day differently. Not just as the boring flotsam and jetsam floating around in my life, clogging up the pipes, but as interesting encounters and strange pairings. I like that. I like being made to think. The questions also make great prompts for other writing. Just dip in, find a question that sparks an idea and off you go.”— Bod for tea Blog, London, United Kingdom
"Jour après jour. Ces carnets émaillés de questions simples et de proverbes bien sentis sont idéaux pour consigner votre existence sans prise de tête."— Be, Paris, France
“Like the idea of keeping a diary? Ever tried, and found the willpower lacking? It might be worth trying Keel’s Simple Diary – each page is printed with questions, some serious, some not, about your day and you. Fill in the date, answer the questions and you are away. Soon keeping your diary will be a daily lifelong habit. Or maybe not. “— The Times, London, United Kingdom
