Hi, I am a swimsuit model and I looked at the book just out of curiosity. I don't really like muscles on women. Everyone has there own choice really but my opion is that women are suppost to be soft and smooth and pretty. Us models don't work out for that reason. Thank you for your time.

I have always looked at muscular women as beautiful. The way their muscles are formed is like an art. Huge biceps on females are not often accepted but this book will change the views of men. Men after reading and viewing the pictures of the book will want to expierence the power of a muscle bound women. I was fortunate to have been able to see a preview copy of this book recently. Frankly, I was astounded. I am a track athlete and have always admired athletic bodies, male or female. Nowadays women athletes are becoming more and more muscular as the result of doing lots of weight training. You don't think Marion Jones got those arms and shoulders running, do you? But never realized how far bodybuilding for women has come and how many of these bodybuilders and fitness competitors have managed to become incredibly sexy as well as totally buff. These pictures represent a kind of revolution in how we look at the female body. One thing is for sure - from now on my gym workouts will be a lot more intense!Heather WrightCanada |

From what i have seen on the taschen site this book is really good. I say that for two reasons. Firstly, those who are repulsed by women with muscle will be repulsed and secondly, those who love female muscle will love it even more. Those in the repulsed camp will only have their fears and inadequacies amplified, those in the love camp will be inspired. I like the Marilyn Monroe pic as that turns her vulnerability on its head. It made me wonder what the real marilyn would have been like if she was more self assured & less insecure.Felidae.United Kingdom |
