Leni Riefenstahl. Africa - Reviews
"A big, black Mercedez-Benz of a book.... Ideology aside, the pictures are hard to resist, combining all the voyeuristic pleasures of National Geographic-style anthropology with an unequivocal appreciation of the innate grace and symmetry of the human form... Riefenstahl`s photographs preserve a mythic vision of this Eden before the fall, a romantic lost world, captured in images as powerfully seductive as the artist herself."V Magazine, Los AngelesUnited States |

"Africa is the crowning achievement of nearly 40 years of picture-taking on the African continent. ..The reproductions, as you'd demand for this sort of money, are nothing less than breathtaking."The Bulletin, SydneyAustralia |

Now in posession of copy #386 of this extremely limited publication. The images are amazing. The value of this glorious anthology is not to be under estimated. Thank you Angelika Taschen for your care and work on this wonderful tribute to the Leni !Das Blaue Licht.netUnited States |

I really do not have a review to write, and I could not see where I could send you comments about the wonderful catalog that I received. So let me just say that Taschen does everything first class, especially relating to their book catalog, the one with Marilyn Monroe on the cover. What really impessed me though was the review printed of Kevin Brownlow for the AFRICA book by Leni Riefenstahl.
Thanks very much for this treat, now to save for the book - someday. mike santoroUnited States |

I would love to see this book, unfortunately the price exceeds the amount a college student, or for that matter a univesity can afford to spend on one book. Perhaps one day I will be able to view it and write a better review.Gwen ThompsonUnited States |
