"For one night, the Miami Beach Convention Center - site of Ali's first heavyweight title victory over Sonny Liston in February 1964 - will be reconfigured to resemble the scene. The invitation-only special ceremony is the brainchild of German book publisher Benedikt Taschen, who will introduce the limited edition book detailing Ali's life."
Miami Herald, Miami, FL (Nov 25, 2003)
United States
"The GOAT in question is none other than Muhammad Ali, with a massive new biography unveiled by German publisher TASCHEN. But if you think this is big, wait to you get a grip (if you can) on the results."
Toronto Star, Toronto

"It was a love fest. . . It was a reunion. . . It was almost like yesterday. . . Ali was a sell out even at Art Basel. As incongruous as it may seem, he truly belonged among the Picassos and Chagalls. For he is still pretty."
Miami Herald, Miami, FL (Dec 7, 2003)
United States
"It is the ultimate sports collectible, but its appeal is much broader that that, he said: 'It's the most audacious publishing project I've ever seen, the publishing equivalent of an epic movie.'"
Steve Riggio, CEO, Barnes and Noble for the New York Times
United States
"Now arrives a project both inevitable and outlandish, the hyperbolic expression of an abundantly chronicled life: "GOAT: A Tribute to Muhammad Ali", a 75-pound, 792 page, 20-by-20-inch book packed with 600,000 words and 3,000 images."
New York Times, New York
United States

"The work of internationally renowned artist and Dover Township native Jeff Koons will appear in a tribute to heavyweight Muhammad Ali that will be released in the United States on December 6 at a Miami Beach celebration. Koons created a lithograph in honor of Ali for the limited edition book "GOAT: A Tribute to Muhammad Ali," which tips the scales at 75 pounds and contains 800 pages of archival and original photographs, graphic artwork, articles, and essays - many of which are previously unpublished - chronicling six decades of the boxer's life."
York Daily Record, York, PA
United States
"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, score a knockout for the G.O.A.T. (Taschen), a roundup of photographs and essays on Muhammad Ali, the greatest of all time, as well as the prettiest, and a poet to boot."
Vanity Fair, New York
United States
