"Si vous avez un proche féru de base-ball ou en tout cas sensible à tout ce qui porte une âme "americana", ce livre est le cadeau parfait. Le sujet est assez rarement édité en France pour être salué dans ces colonnes. Outre les images classiques des stades, l'alternance de photos en noir et blanc et en couleurs, le jeu sur les différentes époques reflètent parfaitement l'engouement et l'essence même de l'esprit américain. Les splendides images de Neil Leifer - de magnifiques photos de lancers, par exemple -, le plus grand photographe de l'âge d'or du base-ball, mettent en valeur le plus chorégraphique de tous les sports. Cet ouvrage regorge de portraits des légendes du base-ball, d'instants clés de son histoire et de mille anecdotes passionnantes qui raviront les fans français (et ils sont de plus en plus nombreux!)."
