Just like the actual all too familiar scene of death and destruction on America's roadways from the safe vantage point of being across the road, I could not turn my eyes away from these stark and shocking historical photos captured so brilliantly in this photographic album.
Each one is a small and devastating drama experienced by those tragic souls captured by the photographer's lens with great poignancy and realism. Turning these brilliant pages, my heart went out to each and every unfamiliar individual and their families who were caught up in these heartbreaks so long ago. I was able to look at every page of the book, but only once. I put the book back in the package it was shipped in and put it in the closet, so there are no reminders of what I saw.
