Endlich mal erfrischend anderes neues Buch über die Metropole an der Themse. Das Buch überzeugt durch seine Idee, Londons Stadtteile über deren Hotels kennen- und schätzen zu lernen. Wie sagt Angelika Taschen im Vorwort ganz richtig: Sicher kann man günstiger und vielleicht besser in einem Hotel der einschlägigen Ketten nächtigen. Aber erfährt man über Lokalkolorit und Ambiente nicht mehr, wenn man in einem stadtteil-typischen Hotel jenseits des Mainstreams wohnt?
Frisch, stilsicher und stets treffend im Ton, ragt das Buch aus den (deutschsprachigen) Veröffentlichungen über die vielfältigste Hauptstadt der Welt deutlich heraus. Ein wahrlich schöner Begleiter Londons und vor allem seiner Hotels.
