Christie's and TASCHEN celebrate "Una grande storia italiana: Valentino Garavani"

The long anticipated publication of Una grande storia italiana: Valentino Garavani was officially celebrated on Friday, November 9th at Christie's New York with over 500 guests in attendance. Mannequins fitted in Valentino Red gowns lined the red carpet, which was crowded by a collection of New York's finest including, Richard Meier, Terrence Koh, Zac Posen, Oskar Metsavaht, Pedro Girao, Benedikt and Lauren Taschen, Giancarlo Giammetti, and finally, Valentino himself. Guests were treated to a preview of Christie's forthcoming Post-War and Contemporary Collection while Valentino graciously shook hands and personalized copies of the brand-new Collector's and Art Editions.
