"..a passionately dedicated and worthy selection of 500 photographs from the 10,000-strong collection, with each piece displayed on a custom-made mannequin...fashion academics will nod reverently while aesthetes will intone, "I want, I want..." with every page."Black & White Mode, SydneyAustralia |

What a wonderful book full of detailed designs from the 17th century to present date.
It covers a range of cultures, designers and tells you how designers integrate culture to their designs. It gives a brief biograpy of designers and their influences at the back of the book, but also discusses what influenced them and a particular design throughout this book. For a novice to this world of fashion this book has become my bible. AineIreland |
