Digital Beauties - Reviews
Excellent book of beauty and tips from some of the top 3d artists in the country. It is hard to believe the realism of some of these models. I would recommend it highly.ElizabethUnited States |

It's an interesting Book, but unfortunately - a number of pictures is completely worthless: The layouters have placed the pics over two bookleafes, so the main theme is hidden in the part where the leafs are glued together.
What a pity!!! Toni BauernschmidGermany |

I had the occasion of skimming through the book one day in a library...To be honest I was truly amazed at what human mind has achieved. I particularly liked the artist (I don't really know his name) who created artistic beautiful images copying the sex-symbols of the 1950's such as Marlene Dietrich. Well I can't say that it was really her image... but it certainly reminded me of her... Unfortunately, others were not so nice because they represented images of women in a very artificial way... unhuman-like, so to speak. But all in all. I liked what I saw and I recommend it.IlincaRomania |

"Les héroïnes virtuelles sont les nouvelles stars inaccessibles, au propre comme au figuré, mais empreintes d`un réalisme saisissant. Nymphettes, sirènes, guerrières, elles impriment la rétine dans ce livre foisonnant d`images et hautement graphique. Un délice mental."Voici, ParisFrance |

"Why you want it: Both men and women like looking at beautiful women, and TASCHEN's Digital Beauties is chock full of them. Only you won't find any of these babes in bars or the supermarket: As the title implies, every last one is completely computer-generated. Sure, some of them are van-art caliber sword-toting mermaids, but others-like the work of Rene Morel and Junko Kubota-are masterful."Shift.com, TorontoCanada |

"An exhibition at Watermans reveals how digital dollies are created, raising questions about the flesh and blood variety with their real and imagined imperfections. With the perfect partner/heroine/employee only a click away, will real women become redundant?....If you want a scary glimpse of one possible future aspect of show business, check out the "Perfectly Real" exhibition and book. With CGI already taking over the film industry, this timely look at virtual women begs an important question; If computers can easily simulate a perfect amalgam of female desirability, how long will it be before the entertainment fraternity - already aiming many of their products squarely at the lucrative young male audience - dispenses with real women altogether?"Time Out, LondonUnited Kingdom |
