Imaginons donc: plus d’un an, quinze mois de travail, fut nécessaire à l’impression de ses 370 cuivres, à peine cent années après l’invention de l’imprimerie et en sa capitale même, Nuremberg! De fait, dès son origine, la performance de cet herbier tient dans son aventure éditoriale. This book has beautiful old botanical drawings of irises, cacti and hundreds more plants. It was like Christmas for me to find this book available for an affordable $25. Thank you for publishing this. I wish you had other books full of old botanical drawings of shells, eggs, birds, etc. The people in that era took such time and care with their drawings.
