"I think the title says it all: "Stanley Kubrick's Napoleon" The Greatest Movie Never Made." This is something so fantastic, that I want to stay alive at least till this book comes out this fall. This is the ultimate obsessive book on Kubrick with respect to his research and thoughts on a film he never made. Documentation, the script, his notes, landscape photos, costumes, you name it and it's all in this incredible book. I saw parts of it at the TASCHEN office, and it's superb. Really superb."— Booksoup.com, Los Angeles, United States
"'The greatest movie Stanley Kubrick never made', MGM pulled the plug on Kubrick's dream project and lifelong obsession, scheduled as a follow up to 2001: A Space Odyssey, when they became nervous of spiraling costs. Blow Up's David Hemmings was already penciled to play the French emperor and the director - infamous for his meticulous research - had collected 15.000 photographs of possible locations alone. TASCHEN's enormous 10-volume book Napoleon collects Kubrick's plans."— Another Magazine, London, United Kingdom
"The German publishing house TASCHEN has released Stanley Kubrick: The Greatest Movie Never Made' a comprehensive collection of every single piece of research he did in preparation for shooting, including working drafts of the never to be masterpiece. All tropes inherently Kubrick and unlike every piece in the director's canon, historically true, making the glaring omission on his filmography not just a slight bummer but an unfortunate artistic tragedy."— Antenna Magazine, New York, United States
"Titanic,"— NUMERO, Paris, France
