The gospel according to Marc

Newson's complete works to date

Art Edition limited to 100 copies (No. 1–100), featuring leather marquetry on the cover and a Micarta slipcase designed by Marc Newson and Richard Allan.

Micarta is a fiber and resin composite that was invented over 100 years ago. Marc Newson repurposed Micarta, which is primarily used as an electrical insulator, to make furniture and even the deck of a boat, making it one of his most notable "signature" materials.

Works, by Alison Castle, a glossy, expensive, encyclopedia collection of all of Newson’s creations to date... just 1,000 of the 610-page books are out there, all signed and numbered: the linen-slipcase Collector’s Edition at a lofty $1,000 or – the real coffee-table statement of the season – the Art Edition, with its leather-inlaid cover and Micarta composite slipcase, at $6,000."
