GOAT. Collector's Edition - Reviews
"This book is amazing in size, scope, depth, and beauty. It is almost as pretty as Ali himself--and nearly as heavy."Amazon.com, SeattleUnited States |

"GOAT is rife with photos of "The Greatest" with such 20th-century icons, as well as passages authored by the likes of Norman Mailer, Jim Murray and Hunter S. Thompson. Nevertheless, it is the books eye-popping numerical stats that have generated most of the pre-release buzz: 1 printing. 10,000 individually-numbered copies. 800 pages. $3,000 price tag (a limited edition can be had for $7,500). How fitting that Ali, whose photo should accompany and definition of the phrase "larger than life," should be immortalized in such a volume. Equally appropriate is that Bingham contributed 400 pictures--more than any other photographer to the project."The Wave, Los AngelesUnited States |

"TASCHEN, the German publishing house, has long been known as one of the more adventurous publishers in the world. Once again, TASCHEN makes waves of a different sort, with its tribute to Muhammad Ali - GOAT... Centuries from now, it may rank alongside Gutenberg titles and other first editions as a bibliophile's 'wet dream'."ThePhilstar.com, ManillaPhilippines |

"Until today, SUMO, a 66 pound tribute to fashion and celebrity photographer Helmut Newton, was touted as the largest book ever published. Now from the same publisher comes a 75-pound tribute to the former heavyweight champ Muhammad Ali. GOAT, as in Greatest of All Time, Ali's self-bestowed title, is available in two limited editions that come in silk covered boxes."USA Today, New YorkUnited States |

"A wobbly legged coffee table is no match for GOAT: A Tribute to Muhammad Ali, a 792-page homage to the champ that weighs in at a hefty 75 pounds. TASCHEN's recent release of the book coincides with the 40th anniversary of Ali's initial defeat of Sonny Liston, a victory that earned him his first world title. Through 3,000 photographs and hundreds of excerpts and essays, GOAT chronicles the life of Ali."Robb Report, ActonUnited Kingdom |

"Weighing in at 75 pounds with nearly 800 pages of photographs, graphic artwork and memorabilia, articles and essays, GOAT is a tribute to Muhammad Ali complied in concert with the great Ali himself, and those who know him best: friends, family, trainers, journalists and the like. In fact, Ali, autographed all 10,000 copies of the limited edition book, which was bound by the bindery for the Vatican, in pink leather, the color of Ali's first Cadillac and comes packaged in a white silk-covered box. So save your pennies, this one is to own."Africana.com, New YorkUnited States |

"Muhammad Ali has always been fighting, against opponents, his country, discrimination, war and disease. Even if he does not speak much now, GOAT is one of Ali's ways of expression."RELAX, TokyoJapan |
