Diego Rivera Panel Discussion at the Society of the Americas

On Friday, May 30th, TASCHEN helped organize a panel discussion and celebration of Diego Rivera Murals and the Construction of Mexican Nationalism. Panelists at the Society of the Americas event included Juan Rafael Coronel Rivera (of XL-Rivera fame), Dr Robin Adele Greeley, a Fulbright scholar of Latin American Art History, and Dr. Javier Garciadiego, one of the foremost political historians of the Mexican Revolution.
The venue was filled to capacity and included such guests as Alberto Fireoa, International Head of all Councils for the Mexican Government, Arturo Beltran, Council General of Mexico, Aldo Sanchez of the Mexican Cultural Institute, and Raul Zorilla Cultural, attaché of the Mexican Embassy. A reception and book dedication followed in which Juan Rafael Coronel Rivera graciously personalized and signed copies of our Rivera book.
