A fine collection of erotic, exotic babes. Somewhat tiring to see anime dolls again and again but surface rendering and other 3D ingredients are definitely on the rise, curtousy of Poser, Rhino 3D Max and the descerning eye of some talented artists. The technical standards of the book are superb. Way to go Taschen! Now, for a second part dedicated to textures, animals, fantasy worlds...Noam ZIsrael |

Wie unten schon erwähnt, dieses Buch macht süchtig. Leider ist es bei Erscheinen schon längst nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand. Gerade in dieser Kunstrichtung ist ein enormes Wachstum zu verzeichnen. Viele der Künstler in diesem Buch haben heute einen sehr viel höheren Skill. Hier möchte ich Namen nennen wie: Ralph Manis, Nigel Soar, Alihahd, Jeanette Thompson und Cazcie. Diese Künstler wachsen mit jedem neuen Bild. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen die jeweiligen Websites zu besuchen. Trotz alledem, ein Buch das jeder Interessierte haben muß.Peter WaldezGermany |

I went through this book in a bookstore and was a little disappointed. It's a nice thick book that's beautifully printed and designed, but I'm afraid a majority of the content is just not that great. Being a graduate student studying in the field of 3D modelling I was looking for a good reference book full of today's most advanced professionals' work. I saw this book and thought it would be useful. This inch and half thick book is full of artists from all over the world, but unfortunately 9 out of 10 of them just don't have the quality in their work that would warrant they be included in such a book. Many of the artists in the book have work that almost anybody in possession of a copy of Poser (a human body rendering program which is what most of them use) could create or replicate easily (and do everyday). A lot of these artists clearly do not belong in the same book as some other artists. One such artist's images, who worked on the film "Final Fantasy", clearly make a lot of the other works in the book look amateurish.
That is not to say there isn't any good work in there. There are plenty of artists who are in the book that belong there, but some cursory editing of work evaluated by industry professionals could have easily cut the book down to a third of it's size (and hopefully a third of it's price). It would have made it a much more valuable book to have and I would have happily purchased it. Ramsey HongUnited States |

All totaled, there is some fine work in this volume. Which is not to say that there isn't some very amateurish works as well. But the cream of the crop is definitely worth the investment.
The high points, works by Will Kramer, Daniel Scott Murray, Francois Ramasson and Frans Mensink along with several others portray the female human form with grace, beautiful lines and danger. Personally I would have preferred to see more work of this caliber than some of the other pieces in this book, the anime gals get a bit old, but none the less the works noted above are worth the price of admission. As with all of Taschen's releases, the design and print quality are flawless, this is a great addition to any digital art collection. I would look for these artists in the future.
