Digital Beauties - Reviews
"A big fat book full of beautiful images, all created feverishly on a computer by cyber artists and lovingly rendered in nice shiny colour."Loaded, LondonUnited Kingdom |

"Pour vous consoler en voyant les superbes courbes de ces magnifiques filles, répétez deux fois : 'Ce ne sont que des images en 3D...'"Cocktail, ParisFrance |

"Publishers TASCHEN have launched their digital culture series with this fascinating collection of beautiful computer-generated characters. There`s an impressive range of artistic styles and techniques on show, from Lara Croft-style computer game characters to surreal babes of the future. Some of the artwork is deceptively lifelike, indeed, some of the creations here have even been voted for in sexiest women lists."Couples, EssexUnited Kingdom |

"If you thought Lara Croft was the only cyber-babe to have geeks dribbling on their keyboards, you are sadly mistaken. Digital Beauties shows what can be done when you spend days in front of the computer to design your perfect woman. From Fantasy pixies to rock chicks with tattoos, this ranges from a bit of fun, in a Weird Science kinda way, to just plain creepy, in a cyber-porn sort of way. Still, if you want to know how far technology has progressed since Ms Pacman, Digital Beauties gives you a glimpse of a brave new world where the lines between fantasy and reality are becoming increasingly blurred."TNT, LondonUnited Kingdom |

pretty good book showing differents 3D-modelling.The artists used the same tools for totally diffrents effects. Very well done!
I dislike only the flexi-cover it's hard to keep them good looking if you use it a lot of time. McConnorFrance |

"As usual, TASCHEN have done a magnificent job on the production. The volume is vinyl bound for durability and rather than attempt any thematic groupings, the contents are organised alphabetically by artists' first name. The pages are printed on thick, glossy paper and aside from a few compositional blunders, where the subject of a particular double-page spread or two disappears into the fold, it's a typically well laid out and presented volume. Definitely one I'd recommend to anyone who is interested in the evolution of either the nude or the less blatant representation of the female form in late twentieth century and early twenty-first century art. And anyone who likes a bit of computer porn, of course."The alien online, LondonUnited Kingdom |

"Le livre Digital beauties fait un malheur, à l`image des filles qui le composent (...) Ce livre d`art époustouflant de Julius Wiedemann recense tout ce qui se fait de mieux en matière de top models en 3D."Ciné télé revue, ParisFrance |

"It's strange how these digital beauties can be as sexually appealing as their 'real life' counterparts. Sometimes more so."Headpress, LondonUnited Kingdom |
