Christo et Jeanne-Claude s`approprient Central Park à New York avec une installation aussi monumentale qu`éphémère. 7 500 Portes en vinyle furent ainsi réparties dans les allées du parc. De chacune pendaient des toiles safran. Une rivière d`or qui s`écoule…Ces Portes restèrent en place durant soixante jours. Elles furent ensuite démontées et recyclées. Aujourd`hui sort un livre « collector » qui retrace cette aventure artistique née en…1979. Limité à 5 000 copies à travers le monde, l`ouvrage est signé Christo et Jeanne-Claude. Numéroté, il est accompagné d`un morceau de l`installation (toile). Mais n`est-ce pas un minimum en regard du prix de vente? Il s`élève tout de même à 350 euros…"
