About the author:
Anne Ganteführer-Trier studied art history, German literature and modern history in Bonn and now heads the Department of Photography at the Cologne art-auction house Van Ham Kunstauktionen. Her publications and exhibitions include José Maria Sert. Photographien (1996) and Jeff Wall – Bilder von Landschaften (1999), and contributions to books on Candida Höfer and August Sander.
