"It certainly consolidates his position as the world's most media-savvy architect."

"Content (TASCHEN) [is] a wacky, in-your-face compendium of words and images that bears a strong resemblance to [Rem Koolhaas`] own off-the-wall mind. It should. Koolhaas is its editor-in-chief. ‘It`s a book camouflaged as a magazine,` he says. Originality is integral to the package, and there is no shortage of insights stimulated by Koolhaas`s intersecting worlds of art and commerce."

"This book takes place at the cusp of the 20th and 21st centuries, in the pre- and post September 11th world. It is a singular product of its time, packed full of words and images portraying the architectural projects and metaphysical mechanism that have defined Rem Koolhaas's OMA-AMO firm over the past seven years. In the format of a small thick magazine, this 'book' is more of an intro-book, an informal tribute to the ephemeral world we inhabit."

"Comparing to S, M, L, XL, this magazine-like book seems light and cheap, but the content of Content is enough serious and cool. Bush with a cross and McDonald's hat, Rambo Hussein, Terminator Kim Chong Il catch our eyes, and lead us think about architecture and social matters. No other publisher but TASCHEN could create this fabulous book."

"Content is an ecstatic, rampaging account of OMA's recent "architectural adventures."

"Seven years on from his groundbreaking S,M.L,XL, Koolhaas has once again redefined the architecture book with a 550-page publication that apes the format of a trashy magazine, right down to the glossy paper and flimsy cover. ( )The visuals might consist of clip-art graphics, grainy photography and rough collages but the articles see Koolhaas at his incisive best. The range of subject material is awesome."

"...fancy getting a fix of some thought provoking and subversive ideas through the magazine medium, you could do worse than to buy a copy of Koolhaas' zine, named Content..."
