"From consumer psychology to the death of the mall, air conditioning to Nikevolution - the brand giant's manipulation of the cityscape to build its name - this is a timely, fascinating and occasionally frightening survey of the world's favourite hobby"

"KOOL BOOK - Not content with being an architect, Koolhaas likes to write and edit books on architecture and if you want to shag someone design-savvy his two new books Project On The City 1 and 2 are the right thing to have on your coffee table. The second volume is my favourite as it looks at how shopping has changed everyday architecture and objects. It's not a light read but, heck, you should read one difficult book a year, and this one has the added benefit of looking too cool for school."

"This series reintroduces a non-judgmental interest in urbanism-long ignored by schools of architecture and long needing the revisit. Buy them. You'll want to have first editions, after all."
