About the author:
Philip Jodidio studied art history and economics at Harvard, and edited Connaissance des Arts for over 20 years. His books include TASCHEN's Architecture Now! series, Building a New Millennium, and monographs on Tadao Ando, Norman Foster, Richard Meier, Jean Nouvel, and Zaha Hadid. He is internationally renowned as one of the most popular writers on the subject of architecture.

"TASCHEN ya ha dedicado tres monografías sobre él, ocupando la que ahora comentamos una posición intermedia entre la básica (pequeña introducción, de corte didáctico que responde a la demanda de generalizada de información sobre su obra), y la monumental (de formato y precio especial , pero cuyos contenidos coinciden básicamente con ésta). Es muy de agradecer que a diferencia de lo que viene siendo ya habitual en la bibliografía de arquitectura contemporánea, la selección de Jodidio no conceda absoluto protagonismo a la fotografía ni se centre en una interminable sucesión de fachadas. Abundantes textos introductorios, comentarios, croquis, y planos técnicos facilitarán la labor del lector que aspire a profundizar en las ideas de este autor de referencia, más allá del as modas."
