TASCHEN Store Miami celebrated the launch of "Fashion Designers A-Z"

On the night of March 8th TASCHEN Store Miami celebrated the launch of Fashion Designers A-Z with Valerie Steele and FGI South Florida. The evening began with sparkling wine and mingling between a steady stream of guests - from Couture Council members to style bloggers. Valerie Steele and the evening's moderator, Charlene Parsons — Chair of Fashion Design at Miami International University of Art & Design —engaged in a lively discussion about the making of the book, the future of fashion, and the collections at the Museum at FIT. Charlene opened up the discussion for others to contribute, and several attendees gladly took the opportunity to delve into other fashion-related topics with Valerie. Valerie signed books and mingled with the attendees, including David Bromstad, host of HGTV's Color Splash, as well as Minerva Arboleya, Editor in Chief of the exclusive Fisher Island Magazine, and Flavia Lowenstein of The Ritz Carlton.

“In a genius stroke of art-meets-commerce, TASCHEN books, a publisher known for its visually stunning books on art, anthropology and aphrodisiac, is opening a store on the fancy new western stretch of Lincoln Road. The arrival of TASCHEN puts Miami Beach in a league with other international cities that have been graced with similar stores.” — 944 Miami, Miami, USA
"Well, pat yourselves on the back, Miami: we now have our very own TASCHEN Store. We've made it. Miami joins German art publisher TASCHEN's outposts in Paris, Berlin and New York. The opening on Lincoln Road, in the Herzog & de Meuron -designed space, was cause for celebration for the literate set in Miami and those who believe that design flaws can be mitigated by enormous coffee table books (I am one of those people)." —, Miami, USA
"The Philippe Starck designed store is worth a look: Check out the floor to ceiling murals and hand poured terrazzo floor made from native So-Fla stones." — Miami Herald, Miami, USA
"Not a bookworm? No matter. You’ll still love the newly opened TASCHEN bookstore on Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road. The famed publishing house, known for glamming up the world’s bookshelves with stylish tomes ranging from a collection of Eadweard Muybridge’s photographs to an oversize ode to large penises, has created the perfect showcase for its product with a contemporary store designed by Philippe Starck and featuring immense murals by British artist Toby Ziegler." — Advocate, Los Angeles, USA
