| Nach der limitierten Sonderausgabe, deren Preis inzwischen um 500 % gestiegen ist und die nur noch schwer zu bekommen ist, bringt Taschen nun auch die Volksausgabe des Kultbuches von Hunter S. Thompson und Ralph Steadman heraus. Thompson, der seinem Leben in diesem Jahr ein Ende setzte, ist der Erfinder des "Gonzo-Journalismus". Die Regeln der objektiven Schreibweise werden außer Kraft gesetzt, Thompson sitzt mitten im Geschehen und: Ohne die Einnahme von Drogen geht gar nichts. (Thompson erklärte den "Gonzo-Journalismus" als einen Schreibstil, für den das Talent eines wahrlich großen Journalisten, das Auge eines Künstlers und die Eier eines Schauspielers fusionieren müssten.)
